Expect high balls into the box - Mr Belford is a coach there. Hopefully we deal with them better than that Nuneaton game!

All round decent performance. Obeng an absolute stand out for me. Great goal, great assist for the first. Both times he made chances out of nothing. He gave the full back nightmares and created 2/3 other good chances too. Hart at right back generally solid, Goughie had a good game and LRT deserves praise for "that tackle" as I shall refer to it.

McDonagh didn't show much but let's not dismiss after one game. Carta put in a good shift and took his chance clinically.

Reasons to be optimistic heading into a tougher run of games.

Also, despite some despising him, I have to admit to a fondness for KP. A master of the dark arts and a wind up merchant. Can't bring myself to boo him.

McDonagh did okay for me - think he'll do well once loses a little weight

As a one off tackle I am struggling to remember many better I've ever seen. Definitely 3-2 and squeaky bum time if he gets the shot off too. Brilliant.

Battle of the two “ traditional number 9s” -  winner hands down Mr Perry, had little help up front, made his own luck and when came on our defence for first time in match didn’t have it in control. Made it a struggle for us for first time. When you saw Perry’s name on team sheet, odds on he was going to score against us as usual. In terms of McD, brought nothing to TFC table today, hoping it’s just rust. Perry however has perpetual rust and that didn’t stop him today🤔

I must have been watching a different game. Perry did  little.
McDonough clearly needs to lose a few pounds and get fitness levels up but at 22, I know who I'd prefer

McDonagh two stone overweight and spent more time in the first half hiding from play and looked like he knew very early on he’s nowhere near ready. We can’t afford passengers, it’s not the first game of pre season we have 12 cup finals left and should only be playing players who are ready. Thought Carta did more in 20 mins to link the play in an unnatural position.
If we are in the same situation in upcoming games I’d like to see Waite up top and bring Lait or Hoenes in

McDonough was extremely poor. Can't head, can't contol a ball, overwieght. Hope we don't see him again until he learns how to play. Really surprised the management signed him up. A dreadful debut in my opinion.

I’m afraid if we persist with McD he will cost us. Only going to have a few chances in some of our remaining games. Yesterday it didn’t matter he missed sitters because we had so many chances. He may have been unfit yesterday but his limitations shown yesterday had little to do with that. I’m afraid he has little chance of keeping up with our fast breakouts and speedy wingers as seen yesterday. Head ons minimal also. He could cost us, especially with Royston breathing down our necks!

Another trip to The Lamb and another excellent win :)
Agree with Pricey, "that tackle" was one of the best I have seen in over 50 years watching football.
Got to agree about McDonough, way too heavy and I struggle to see what he adds to the team and also wonder why he was picked in the first place, there must be someone who could do a better job, but i am no expert about the Tamworth players so maybe there isnt ?
Also like to thank London North Western  Railway for giving me yet another nightmare journey (both ways ) .

McDonough, Perry or Asante. Now there’s a conundrum to have nightmares about. 🤔

Given he's scored 18 goals this season at a level above where we play, I think I'd go for Asante.

As for McDonagh, I too thought he offered little. However we have seen an hour of him so it probably is a bit early to be making any final judgement on him.

I can't help thinking that if Smudge and Andy had played Gregg Smith when they arrived, instead of having him on the bench when we didn't really have a target man, he'd have stayed and we'd have a proper number 9 for this league.

Perry did little? Only player to score against us in 7 games. Even the mighty Royston couldn’t even do that against us.
