I will be there tomorrow and I am going for 4-0 if they can start putting their chances away ClapClap

6/7 weeks ago I'd have said 4-0 too, maybe more but since Driver arrived at Leiston, they have become a largely new team and climbed out of the drop zone.

If we want to win the title, we have to be winning these sort of games but I don't see it being the thumping it was in the trophy.

Oops! Liam Hearn not match fit, could take a month to get up to speed, not overly thrilled but if he’s the man, come on Liam

Argus Isn’t panicking just yet.Peterborough away and Royston home, who gave us a very good game at their place to come. Could see us drop down the pecking order. Teams seem to be working us out, pressure under our bar, score and then get behind the ball. Still think someone is due a spanking, hard to see who that will be, maybe Redditch. Royston look favourites for title at the moment, 3 points against us and we have to chase. Looking forward to Peterborough now.

Posted a few days after the Bromsgrove match mate. Will do the same this time around if that’s ok with you? Strange some people on here no names RB, only quickly post like fleas on a dying carcass following a defeat. What l will  say, still in pole position, like it or not, maybe you want us to lose. Not one comment on the game today from you? Where are you RB?

Time for a bit of a shake up me thinks. No wholesale changes but maybe some current starters - particularly the strikers - need some time on bench

Strikers let us down big time last week. Seems given a second chance today and still fired blanks. Can’t continue to reward failure Dan.

Totally agree. Would imagine Hearn will start next Saturday. Hopefully Lait fit by then too

Those two given the chance could make a difference but are they match fit? Why did Basford not use Hearn? Did bringing Lait in upset the dressing room? 2 3-0 wins, 1 defeat and suddenly our strikers are useless? As for being in pole position Argus, have a look at the table! Having said that Iam not panicking yet, having more at stake, should make for exciting matches. Bromsgrove not consistent enough nor Peterborough! I see Royston as our biggest threat, once their Trophy run is over

We were poor today against a side who worked us out. Bes has been fantastic and scored or created about half our goals this season but press him quickly, cut his time on the ball and we look limited at times.

We are still in control of our own destiny and we can still win it but we'll need to improve on this over the next 3 games. After Pboro (a), Royston and Hitchin (both home), we then have 10 of our last 16 awsy.

We need to be less predictable I think but we have a squad capable of doing it. It would be as stupid to be chucking in the towel now as it was to be proclaiming we'd won the league in November.

Lots of twists and turns still to come but this time in a fortnight things will look clearer one way or another.

Really confused eton, just looked at the table. Please explain we have the advantage as the table stands?

Theoretical Argus, games in hand is not points as you well know. We have dropped points to teams from all regions of the league so nothing is a given. That’s the reality you are choosing to gloss over. Many things possible, we are not Liverpool

This is it lads, this is the post that turned old Argus. Just one post and suddenly the “hand of friendship” is withdrawn! How terribly horribly predictable!

Point 2 - God Eton, and will not even marriedWink

Royston was a tough game physically and mentally I think. They were very direct and very physical. Without playing terribly well, we stood up to that and got a good result. If we can build on it Saturday then we go into the run of away games with a little bit of a head of steam.

Massive win - Royston are the ones I fear most in terms of the title so it's great to turn them over

I've not written Stourbridge off if they can get up a head of steam and we still have to play them twice so those will be big games I think too.

The next three (Hitchin, Alvechurch, Redditch) offer good chances for points. 9 would be fantastic, anything less than 7 and I'd be disappointed because there's another really tricky period after that of Rushden away, Coalville twice, Stourbridge (home and maybe away depending on rearrangements) and Rushall away all before the end of March.

Think Coalville has been postponed again. Quite odd that going into Feb we still have two matches to play against them and Stour.

You can already sense that Nuneaton away on Bank Hol Monday is going to be a huge game, one way or the other...

Loads of sensible agreeable posts on this thread. Must say many on here think alike. Just the one oddball poster, who shall remain nameless. Iam gonna have to sit down work out all the permutations and come up with a speculative final top 5. No prizes, just for fun and absolutely no competition intended, if you feel me fam 🌈

A week on Monday away to Stourbridge (10th Feb). Love the trip on a Saturday but scooting down from Cannock after work isn't ideal so will likely miss it.

Big big game though.

Nuneaton have got Leam or Wolves in BSC SF according to their OS, leaving us with Romulus or Rushall. Good chance for a final now at Hawthorns or St Andrews.

Shame on me for suggesting games in hand can actually be won eton, which we did and rather well if truth be told. Call me an oddball poster if you like but at least I’m keeping positive.

I love Divas especially Carly Simon🙊

Final Table

1 Tamworth 84
2 Royston 81
3 Stourbridge 78
4 Pet Sports.   77
5   Coalville. 77

Based on av points already gleaned home and away with speculation on how results amongst current top ten will go.
Apply every caveat under the sun that you can think of.
Hardly scientific but fun to do

Key double- headers against 3rd and 5th. What we’re your results for these games Eton?

6 pnts from 12. We can’t afford to slip up against teams not in the race if we want to be Champions. Best take 1 game at a time as illustrated by the numpty ref yesterday.
No matter how much I want to can’t right Bromsgrove off
