What a brilliant win for the lads and our outstanding management team. Great to see Laity on the score sheet.

Banbury showed today why their 2nd in table. Fast out wide and breaking in caused us considerable problems. Defence, with to be fair some last ditch tackles kept them at bay. We showed them great respect during first 20 or so, but understandable, they had to win, we didn’t. Our strength on bench proved to be the winner. Banbury couldn’t cope with fresh pace and their tiring legs which resulted in loads of free kicks and bookings for them. Thought we missed a massive trick in not playing Forde today. Without Big Joe we need every leader we can muster on pitch. Big smile

Agree Forde should have been in the starting line up,but did you see the way he took that defender away and left Laite open to smash the ball into the roof of the net.

You can’t buy that Forde skill mate! He performs like a Wild MustangWink

Too early to be saying that but that 2nd half was atrocious after we scored, and if we're honest we were lucky to be 2-1 up at ht. The second penalty we got was a joke.

Even at 3-1 up I was panicked that we couldn't defend crosses into the box. I can only remember Magunda (and Creaney once defending a corner) winning a header in our own box. We had the new lad who looks about 6'4" sat on the bench while we got bombarded. That struck me as naive.

We've been on a fantastic run and we may well go on and win at Hednesford Wednesday but the only real positive of yesterday was we got a point. We could very well have lost that.

It's still all in our hands and we would have taken this position back in August but the last two home games should be a wake up call to make sure we aren't doing a villa and booking the open top bus too early

The kerfuffle at the end I wasn't near enough to express any opinion but not a pleasant way (whoever was in the right or wrong) to end a game either.

The bad news is time flies. The good news is we are the pilots

Have to agree with Pricey. Very lucky to get a point. Definitely 2 points thrown away. New central defender should have been on. Wasted sub.

Thought defensively we were poor
Nuneaton offered little other than long throws and corners but we couldn’t cope with the quality
Singh struggled to come and command the area
Before the game id have taken a point
Thought Waite and Forde played well

Agree with the comment about Singh, for me a good shot stopper but he cost one goal and nearly another when it hit the post. Needs to be more commanding and take every man and his dog with him, instead of coming out half hearted.
My first game in a few months and overall both teams look dangerous attacking and for me, to take off Hoeness who skinned Clifton all the time was the wrong call.
Long way to go but need to defend better. The incident at the end marred the game and if the racist abuse is true then the book should be thrown at whoever it is and it shouldn’t be defended but again it isn’t confirmed and I’m sure if it happened then the club will deal with it, however throwing a beer at their manager is poor, why waste good beer?!? Baffles me
