If he gets back to his best, this is a terrific signing. Very much a confidence player so will need to be made a fuss of but on his day, as good as anything in the division.

Great signing but has to be handled! On the pitch and off it. We have the tools to do it- Smudge,Andy and Bailie, off and Bes, Forde, Joe on it. This signing means we really want it! For me just by how many points we win it by  Tongue

Why? Telford not rate him? 13 appearances for Telford yet they let him go. Could be a decent signing as long as the campers stay happy. What happened with Chris Cox, has he faded into Sunday morning footie? Would love to know, no info out there. Is he still registered with Tamworth?

Laity position when with us was left wing a direct competition for Hoenes. Unless Smudge and Andy have other options in mind. Could no will be a very interesting time up front for the Lambs especially with the prospect of a new striker come January.

It was in the paper that Cox was released ages ago after a major hissy fit.

Can't believe what I'm reading elsewhere about him 'not wanting to play for the club last season and faking injury' .
He got hauled over the coals by Dennis Greene, banished to the reserves and humiliated for not tracking back.
When he played in that shower of sh*te, under Greene, he often single pulled the team through. I remember awful games like Bromsgrove away and even away at Bedworth, where we were playing a dreadful side but could have lost.
Without him, we could have gone down (well, until the GS/AD revolution)
Under them, he thrived. It's a stunning signing in my book.
I think we have won the league now.

strengthen when you're top of the league is a good policy.

If he performs as he did last season despite various injuries and a couple of weeks being humiliated on local parks with the u21’s, then it makes us huge favourites. Yesterday with the hednesford result and Laity resigning felt like a big moment

Thanks for trying Dan. Iam aware that Cox was “released”.
Just trying to find out where he has gone.
He was a decent fullback and Iam surprised someone hasn’t snapped him up.
When I say no info out there I mean literally, it’s as though Cox has been abducted by Trumps anti immigrant/deportation team!

Lait released by Telford following a number of disciplinary issues. As good as he was for us last season it seems a bit of a risk to bring him back under these circumstances.

You lot seem to be forgetting that Laite ditched us to go to a bigger club and better himself,he was offered a good deal by our management that matched Telfords offer,he is surely going to be a great asset to our already team of table toppers, but jumping on the band wagon comes to mind.

Leaving to go to play at a higher level is the best reason anyone leaves a club in my opinion. Any other reason has negative connotations. That one doesn't.

Lait certainly didn’t jump the Good ship TFC for the gravy train. Now he’s come back he just could be the dumpling on our casserole. Time will tell but don’t want to lose any of our prime cuts of proven Beef to pay for itWink

Laite like Durrell are winners. Both left to heighten their potential. The fact that the management has welcomed Lait back put a smile on Andrews face. Looks like wea are on a winner

Interesting in the Herald today that it was Lait who asked for next season's option to be put into his contract.

Assume ‘option” not obligatory for either CL or TFC. Nice words but means nothing Dan.

Clause inserted in club's favour saying he stays (as long as club want him)

Lost Dan, obviously not for first time! - So at end of season when CL contract ends and another club came in for him where would that leave us? Ok, we offer him a new contract, but another club betters it? Still not sure it means that much?

It effectively means we could command a fee. If TFC decide they want to keep him, clause is triggered and he is effectively contracted for 20/21.

If another club wants him, they'd have to stump up or we hold on to the paperwork.

So effectively Chris Lait has asked Tamworth to hang on to his registration next season! What a great attitude! Well done Chris and Tamworth FC. Now let’s go and win this league! Club Fans and Players together!
