Great performance today from a team that should have given us more trouble than they did. The pessimists on here will say we played a poor team I’m sure however l saw it differently! We played attacking football on the floor getting behind their defence on countless occasions and to be fair l dare to suggest more times today than through whole seasons of some of our previous managers. Creaney and Obeng were superb today and James when coming on has grown in stature in just a few close season months. Staggering he may have to come on from bench as we have developed such a strong squad with so many options. At long last we will have a full bench to change matches when needs must. Saw nothing today to alter my opinion that we are going up as Champions- start believing out there and share the faith or just miss a moment in time that shouts out OUR TIME HAS COME

Must agree with Argus 9.That was a very impressive  performance today,we played fast, attacking football and all the players looked very comfotable on the ball.We stood up to some aggressive tackling and showed we can handle the rough stuff.Think management have assembled a promising squad and am begining to feel optimistic for coming season.Cant keep knocking the opposition,we just looked good today.

We were good today certainly. My first friendly but from back to front I was impressed. Jas wasn't overworked but made one great tip onto the bar. Magunda and LRT seem to have a good understanding already and both played out from the back well. Gough is a terrific full back and the lad playing at 2 did a job both on the right and the left.

Bes played well, sitting deep and passing it (that is his proper role), Obeng was a constant menace - I suspect he'll frustrate at times but he'll make things happen and be exciting to watch.

Creaney did well, Ty did ok too, James showed pace to burn and Yafai had some good flashes as did the number 16 with Fellaini's hair!

So, there were certainly reasons to be positive but it is impossible to judge how good a win that was. Cefn play in a whole different league system and a discussion with their supporters post match suggested they were 5 or 6 players short of their strongest side.

That isn't to denigrate anything about today and I was encouraged about several players but it didn't make me any more certain one way or another whether this is a side that can be winning the league.

The bad news is time flies. The good news is we are the pilots

Unfortunately I was unable to make it today so had the pleasure of reading the match report on the Lambs official website. A little confused on reading what went on. Apparently we had a car on the pitch and another goalie. “but cleared Sing’s car by a foot or two.” No comments on here about it. Did you all miss it? They really should proof read their comments.

A pretty good summary Pricey. A good performance against a fairly uncompromising and at times cynical side. Some of their challenges were a bit crude on occasions. Many reasons to feel positive for a change however, particularly the attacking strength we seem to have and pace going forward. However despite this optimism it is quite ridiculous to be predicting winning leagues at this stage when we have absolutely no idea as to what the strength of other sides in this league might be.
