I suspect we will be reliant on Academy and Under 21 players. Can’t see us making any proven quality players.

That should read Can’t see us making any signings of proven quality players.
My brain not engaged this early in the morning!!

Not such a half-baked idea RB. A team of little gingerbread men running around the Lamb has its appeal

Have you taken them off yet ? Worried your end up with webbed feet and not be able to drive down the A14 next season - and yes it’s all about me

Unless we sign 5 or 6 quality players minimum we will be looking at play offs at best imo

Honestly, don't fret. Lait was a blow but several of the better lads from next season are staying for a start. Nowhere near as big a rebuilding job as we have to witness sometimes.

Rebuilding from sometimes? - Much higher leagues!
So we have a couple of the better lads resigning? - let’s see who they are?
No mention of new signings!
Current squad in this tin pot League with Smudge and Andy with momentum got us to third in their 15 game period - we’ve lost our two key players in Jack and Lait!
Announcement of a couple resigning sends a message for me - we don’t want it next season!

If so why absolutely sh*t communication? Just announced our new general manager and he’s been in post 4 weeks!

As said, they can't announce some signings or there's little point as the league doesn't accept forms until July 1. Current players who have agreed entitled to holiday before extending their deals. Just crazy to keep getting wound up about things. If there's no decent squad in place come pre-season then, yes, tear your hair out. Until then just wait and see. I reckon tomorrow will be a positive start.

Just clocked the season ticket info -:£195 terrace early bird, £230 after July 7th. Decent incentive again to renew early which I will and prices suggest an increase in match day admission as 21 lots of £11 would be £231 and I can't imagine you could have a season ticket price (post early bird) where you get a seasonal saving of £1 (4.8p per game).
I would assume we're going up to £12 standing, £14 sitting after a few years of a price freeze in fairness

If Jas can avoid the howlers he made last season and the Bess to stay relatively injury free have to agree a couple of good resigns!

If Jas avoided his howlers he'd be signed to a club in a higher league. He's a really good keeper at this level for me.

If we want promotion - see my previous comment. TFC can’t afford any passengers.

I don't think you could call him a passenger and I'd be really interested to see a much better keeper wanting to sign for us at our current level.

As I say, if Jas didn't have the occasional howler he'd be a league or two above this.

Bes is a decent signing too if injury free and Clem played ok under DG and this pair. A midfielder with some pace is going to be a major priority though for me.

The announcements are a step in the right direction though for my money.

For me Jas is the best we’ve had since Belshaw and I’m sure the only one the rest of the defence feel comfortable with him behind them. Unlike Rowley, Stevens, Jezeph and Simpson.

Re the Benbow comment I’m sure somebody mentioned that they’d heard we were after him but Stour will be up there again. I can see a real rivalry forming between the two clubs.

Beswick great signing and Clement a good squad player, hopefully he can stand up and turn in good performances and help take the pressure off the forwards with a few goals

I'd have loved him but sure I heard he'd not played in the game at The Lamb because he doesn't play on 3G pitches

Well in that case he wouldn’t be the right fit . I’m not sure a target man would suit the way the managers want to play anyway

Played a much more direct game without Lait so will be interesting who they get in and how we play. If we decide to play direct Waite isn’t in anyway close to a target man

Still very little on the squad front for the coming season, although the club said we would be more in the picture last week, only the Herald report confirming Jas Singh, Ryan Beswick and Jordan Clement, so frustrating!

Supposedly got two managers working flat-out and no news. Why is it that this happens every year regardless of who is in charge. Got to be the worlds slowest club regarding news. The close season is a month in now.

I can’t get the hold up, I really can’t, we don’t want to announce players because their contracts won’t start until the 1st June, and even if they have signed a new contract they can still walk away, prior to this date, and we will have egg on our face, or that’s what I am being told, but how about telling us something, maybe players who won’t be offered new deals, just something to give us some kind of idea what type of shape the squad will be taking for the coming season.

They have signed players (not just in the current group)  - as I have said before, they can't name some for various reasons. Just be patient.
We have Singh, Magunda, Shaw, Clement, Beswick, Frances confirmed.
Green, James and Waite will follow suit.
We have been in far worse positions in May

People can announce who they like but the player can't be properly registered until the league forms are out at end of June. Nothing to stop teams saying such and such has signed but it can come back to bite them on the arse.

Conundrum me thinks not! - preference has to be open communication with fans. If we attempt to sign a player and they’ve said yes but walk away at last moment the only arse that gets kicked is the two- faced player!

Just said in my last post, I'd imagine people have been away (this current week is very busy for holidays)  and I'm sure the club will feed names through in June.
I'd imagine the club will probably name one or two next week who have been signed subject to registration. Again, I don't get the stress. It's June 1 and they've already said they have deals in place.

Yeah exactly, how many of these clubs will get their fingers burnt for announcements, I think very little, my Twitter is crazy at the moment, I follow a lot of the non league accounts, and some of our ex players, teams like Hednesford and our rivals the Scum are very active, and basically Stourbridge are signing all of Stratford’s team, and Halesowen are signing all of Redditch’s team, but they are all there in their new teams shirts, big deal made of the signings, getting the fans excited, and here is all of us not knowing what level of quality of squad we will have next season, and my understanding is today being the 1st June is when the contracts start, I would have expected Tamworth’s twitter feed to be going mad, we continue to wait with bated breath.

Even our Evo-Stick league are announcing signings so it must be ok. For some unknown reason our club like the fans to suffer and wait.

Perhaps the Club are quiet because there are no new signings or any imminent. Better that fans don’t know that we haven’t got any “star” signings yet so that your appetite is whetted in anticipation. I’m not hopeful of any decent signings.

That does seem logical about the signings really, maybe we haven’t been able to attract anyone, and it is easier to say a lot of work is going on in the background, but we are the only club from our level and even below our level that work in the background. It is also true that the Southern League have been announcing signings for clubs from their official websites, as well as a lot of non league twitter handles retweeting teams new signings.

Fact Green has gone and not signed anyone new what message are we announcing to the league - also rans yet again. Please prove me wrong TFC over the coming two weeks and start delivering on the transfer front! - Here’s an idea - what about nicking the best from the other teams or I’m really missing something

I share everyone else’s concerns, for me that’s our best two players from last season gone, third if you count Concannon, yeah we are going to be just a number in this league, there is at least 7-8 in a better position than us for next season, all the better players have gone elsewhere for me at this stage, can’t think of anyone at our level that will sign that will get everyone excited.

I bet Stourbridges fans will be queueing up for season tickets. We have two unknowns in charge.Hardly a recipe for winning the league. If Gary Hackett had been placed in charge at the Lamb we would have seen a lot of activity by now.We should be signing the best players in our league just as Stourbridge are doing.

Find this incredible. The club gets abused for not announcing players and then when they make a signing they get stick anyway.
21-goal Lait always going to be a struggle to replace but getting someone who got double figures in the same league is not a bad replacement in my opinion.

And we are likely to sign a wide midfielder called Jordan Francis, who was at Corby Town last season, and played for Romulus previous to that and came through the West Bromwich Albion youth system, played for the U18 and U21 squads.

Must have watched him twice but can’t really remember him - however if voted Supporter player of the reason by Bridge in a great season for them has to be a great signing for us - well done S&A

Herald said a right back is signing too - Jean-Ruben Desrosiers. from Barwell.
Squad taking shape.

As someone who has lived all of my life in or bordering the Black Country, to see Stourbridge shortened to bridge is really odd. Not having a go at all Argus but just jars on the ears. Sounds as odd as someone shortening Manchester to Chester.

On Forde I remember him as the midfielder who ran around like every single one of our players had just nicked his wallet and tipped his pint over his head and that's an attitude we could do with. I still think we miss a real attacking midfielder at this stage but the signings overall are quite encouraging and I accept dynamic attacking midfielders of quality are rare and costly. I'm basically after a non league Eden Hazard.

.

None taken - Manchester has been blighted for me for many years for me by the Neville Brothers and more recently by City and the dosh. United recently blighted by the Window fitters! - As to the Bridge as a Londoner just plain lazy in use of names and language- should have used Sour as in the Bridge
. Me feels a summer meeting coming up mate - you serving a black pudding and offal sandwich and me a cheese and cucumber sandwich with crusts cut off

Don't want anyone to think I'm uncultured but had never eaten a cucumber sandwich in my life until last summer and thought I'd ironically impress the better half by doing the poshest sandwiches I'd ever heard of for a picnic. Resulted in her nearly wetting herself laughing as I hadn't realised you should cut the crusts off the bread or the green skin off the cucumber for a posh sandwich. I considered styling it out and pretending I'd done it for a joke but my face gave me away.

Agree with you that the summer will be big. Think this'll be a very midland centric league this year. Stourbridge and Bromsgrove the two I fear the most and Nuneaton seem to be recruiting a half decent squad. Can't see anyone pissing it like Kettering did this year mind. I see them as a top half Conf North side this year too.

Nuneaton spending a shed load of cash that they don't actually have again?, probably see them back in the high court in 18 months time. Ah well, some things never change.

They've only signed five players - three of whom are from Coventry Sphinx...not sure that constitutes spending shed loads.
Personally thin k they will be fine now. Ginnelly is a shrewd operator. He will get them making money. He's from nuneaton, very popular and gets local businesses on board.
I don't think they'll challenge though personally.

Yeah, I guess that what you say is correct Dan, it's just a weakness in me that I have to have a dig at them every so often I find it therapeutic.

Very very good striker coming in to club next week I believe. One to really bring a wow factor.

Nope. This was done before his arrival.

Any idea who this striker is?

Based on absolutely nothing whatsoever guesses would be James Roberts, Shaq Whittingham (more of a winger), Kairo Mitchell.
Or someone like Ryan Nesbitt or Matty Stenson on loan

I would to see Brady Hickey from Barwell, not signed a new deal yet from what I can make out, scores a lot of goals, captain at 23, I know he isn’t an out and out striker though, be a good capture though.

Yeah I’m surprised he hasn’t joined up with Ginnelly. More of a 10 I guess but would work well ahead of Bes and Fordey

Real wow factor would be the return of Danny Newton...no, me neither but that would make me go wow.

Greg Smith

I would take Gregg Smith back all day long - won't happen as this pair jettisoned him but at this level, he is a good target man and a real motivator. I grew to love him.

He put in one of the better CB performances this season

Smith has signed for Grantham

Yeah, absolutely no chance he is coming back and Lincolnshire is a better location for him, hence that signing. I was just making the point I rated him.

According to someone on Nuneaton Fans forum and a tweet from another at Kettering FC,a guy called Rhys Hoeness is going to be joining us from Kettering. Might well be the guy that Dan alluded to in an earlier post perhaps!

Class player - regular goal scorer and a penalty taker. Be great if that came off.

Take a look at their Twitter page Pricey.

Another name being linked is his Kettering Town colleague Lathaniel Rowe-Turner.

If we just sign as many Kettering players as possible and tell them to do exactly what they did in this league last year, that seems like a very sensible plan :-)
