Might be a tough one. Depends if Lait plays as to how well we do I think. Hard fought 1-1 draw without him, sneak a 2-1 win if he plays. COYL!!!!

I'd take a point plus Ramses de Teillee to win the National (no I haven't tipped the winner since Hedgehunter in fairness)

Well, better than a point and no, of course I didn't. Last national winner 2005. Heady days. We were in the Conference and Bob Taylor was our top scorer. Tony Blair was PM, the Queen mother was still alive and you could smoke in pubs. I dare say Nuneaton were in the midst of a financial crisis mind.

Good result today and in a way it's nice we have the luxury of meaningless games in April as it looked like they might well not be at the start of Feb.

Just back - Really nice to win against a top team after beating only rubbish ?? - Royston second in current form table after ten games as it stands tonight - only one team above them guess who! - Smudge and Andy - couldn’t have done anymore or am l really missing something

Good result certainly and it is much better to win an end of season mid table tussle than lose one. Royston are a reasonable side who have some decent results the last few weeks but there is something properly weird, considering we were playing Harrogate, Salford and York 12 months ago, about viewing a midtable step 3 side who haven't a cat in hell's chance of making the play offs as a top side.

Seem to be attempting to reduce the great work that Smudge and Andy are doing once again Pricey. First it was the fact we had only played more teams below us than above us in their run which has now seen us top in games they’ve managed in form table. Now introducing another Pricey factor to demean their achievements- fact we’re not beating teams in leagues above like Salford etc - To dismiss yesterday’s achievement against a team top of the form table had we not beaten them saddens me mate but probably no more than the fact you were taken in by likes of DG

Only just seen this but I do give credit to Andy and Smudge but "great work" I would take issue with. We've done well, not great. I just won't view everything how you do as sensational or abysmal.

I also took exception to describing Royston Town as a "top side". This is a side who won't be making the play offs and to quote your favourite form table, they are 14th for the last 5 games - it was a decent result in a meaningless game. I wouldn't get over excited by it.

I also don't think losing 2-1 at King's Lynn in another dead rubber (they won't be getting automatic or falling out the play offs) is anything to read too much into.

My position on Smudge and Andy is they've done reasonably well, including beating a lot of teams who are poor, they aren't the new Clough and Taylor but have in all likelihood earnt themselves the job for next season. I, however am concerned that we won't be making the exceptional progress to an inevitable title charge unless we are considerably better than this run.

It's not awful but it's not brilliant.

The comment about Salford, Harrogate, York etc was that when we were around mid table in a league with them in it, you weren't happy that we weren't making the play offs. I thought we were doing reasonably well.

Bof - Thought yesterday was brilliant. Manchester City comment relates to the above mate!

Go on then, are Leiston a top side? They are 8 points off Royston who you described as a top side. I don't understand your definition but it's a holy day so I'll agree to whatever this week's version is.

Yesterday was a really good performance all round and as commented earlier, Laity was great off the bench and a lovely little pass from the kid to set him up for his first.

I can't be the only one who wishes Andy D would give it a bit of a rest though. With us 4 up and about ten mins to go, he launched into a rant trying to get one of their players sent off. Was quite pleased to see he put his hand up in apology when their boss very succinctly and correctly told him "shut up you daft , you're 4 nil up you prick". I feel he would benefit from these sort of words of wisdom more often.

I commend his passion but he really does nobody any favours with some of his antics. Smooth off those edges and there might be a good coach in there.

I see your point Pricey but with our injury record we need all the protection we can get from refs. Andy’s biggest weakness is also his biggest strength and i love the fact even at 4-0 he is after more. The best managers in the world such as Pep and Klopp don’t allow complacency. He will mellow with age I suppose

Got sent off Shed - did he change or mellow after that - Nope and think we’ve got what we’ve got with Andy - should be interesting however he’s like this whilst we’re winning big time! - imagine the pressure when we really have a bad patch - heaven forbid! Hope it never happens for a long time obviously !! - life at TFC certainly won’t be boring next season - Final
Point - Styche offered us something very different - if game flat and crowd dead he provoked a response and just maybe next season we will need each and every trick in the book to gain that automatic promotion place - just a thought with antics of Andy

Yes he got sent off. He probably saw Mills’ scoring record which at that point would have been about 20 in 30 and set about putting him off his game. It worked.
