Choice based on we want to resign them - not because we can’t because of dosh+ elsewhere, pitch , loan period ending etc.
Beswick
Clement
Concannon
Laite
Maphosa
Shaw

All of those I agree with Argus. The one I can't make my mind up about is Jas Singh. I thought at the start of the season that he was as good as we could get for the league that we are in, and let's be fair, he is a damn sight better than the two clowns we had on loan last season that played a big part in our relegation. However, he has looked decidedly shaky at times and made some bad mistakes that have cost us. Not sure if we should stick with him or look for someone better.

Singh is a difficult call mate agree - bit like Kristian Green

Wouldnt disagree too much with your selections there Argus. Obviously Concannon wont be with us. Having signed a new 1yr contract with Blues i would imagine as he progresses and gets stronger physically i would envisage him maybe going on loan to a club like Solihull who have the Blues connection. Would quite happily have him here next season otherwise however. Singh i rate as nothing more than adequate. As IOM says,he is better than anything we had last season but i guess we are always comparing to the likes of Belshaw who was exceptional. As i said in an earlier post,if i was Andrews i'd be looking to find out now what sort of players Smith is capable of attracting before making any decision on who will be in charge next season

I'd keep Gough too.

Concannon is an interesting one. Certainly better than our standard and will be interesting to see how he develops. A loan in Conf national looks about right I think. Will need to get more consistent with his dead balls too. Hits the odd beauty but hits the first man too often.

Hope he kicks on next year. Has certainly given us a good shift.

Won't happen but I'd ring Gregg Smith too and say I know you weren't happy not starting games and I know you aren't Sergio Aguero but we've won ourselves another season in this bloody league and we need a striker to go and bully defenders a bit. I'll start you every week and pay you a decent goals and assists bonus.

JC - Built light-weight and should struggle in our league as many do. However has had the guts and skill to overcome the more experienced brick houses sent against him. As a new one year deal offered by Brum - yes indeed up to the Conference- no point proving once again at the Central Southern - without him next season and if we can’t resign Laite?

Bit worrying that you don't think any of the players smudge and andy have bought in - dwyer, frances, james, gordon, spencer - are worth keeping ...

What do you think Dan? - who would you keep?

Dwyer looks completely light-weight on what I’ve seen of him in his cameo appearances.
Gordon looked ok when coming on when in a winning position from bench but looked as above when starting on Saturday.
Francis - looks raw and muscular and had an impressive first 45 minutes away to Hitchin but that’s it todate.
Spencer - Only seen him once and to be fair to him he and the other 10 around him played on Saturday.
Any views yourself Dan?

For me...
Beswick- who pre December I wouldn’t have kept
Magunda
Singh - 50/50- when he’s good he’s exceptional but has a howler in him
Gough
Green
Shaw- like the fact he can play RB or Mid when required
Lait - could get you promoted single handedly

Interesting listening to the post match interview, Andy said Spencer was capable of
Much more and that it wasn’t the best game to make his debut

I would look to keep the following.

Singh
Green
Gough
Magunda
Dias
Beswick
Clement
Lait
Gordon
Waite

I know that’s a lot, but feel they have all done enough to warrant a second year with us, Dias every time I have seen him has put a shift in and Gordon I really feel will get better, he has played at a much higher level and injuries have put him where he is, Concannon I agree with everyone else Birmingham will want him to play at a higher level next season.

I know I’ve said previously we ain’t got a cats chance in hell of keeping him - However don’t know if we’re paying any of Jacks wages current so desperately hoping that we ain’t and on basis Birmingham are in financial problems if we cold convince them that we are going all out for promotion next season and that could help develop his game if we build a team round him and of course playing for us would almost certainly maximise his game time, not sitting on a bench elsewhere plus pay his wages in full that could clinch another deal here. Never no without asking and let’s not forget funnier things have happened - we got a fee for Asante

I’m not sure about Waite. Especially on the assumed high wage he’s on. He’s never lived up to the friendly match abilities we saw. I’d much rather pay the extra that may be needed to keep Lait on board.

For me it should be evolution not revolution. Keep as many as possible and tweak it when needed. The last thing we need is a squad of trialists going into August again

Agree shed, they seem to be getting it together at last,be a shame to off load.

If we are going to make a promotion push we need a goal scorer, and that isn't Waite unfortunately

You can think I'm wrong, but that's no reason to quit thinking.

Glad to see the back of Kettering officially.

Won today to be 12 points clear with 3 to go so can put their feet up now. They were the best side I saw at the Lamb in a draw we played well in. Thoroughly deserved to go up and glad not to face them next year.

It’s not on Tyrell to get us promoted. We have have a brilliant front 3 that can compete with anyone in this league. Unfortunately Concannon will go back and hopefully we can keep Lait and Waite. Our troubles are in midfield, we miss Beswick so much when he’s not there and Verma has also been a bit miss I think he would have suited the current management team down to the ground.
If we are going to get close to winning the league our midfield need to start dominating games rather than relying on counter attacks after opposition errors

It would have been interesting to see if Verma would have knuckled down with Smudge and Andy. I can’t say that he’s lit up the midfield when he was playing. The last time he did play well was when he was put up front.
