Will it be Sunlight Shadow or Darkness on Saturday ?- For me confident we will win but not sure by how many - could be an odd goal victory or a rout- Bridge may have won 2 on bounce but lost previous 3 - if ever this club had so much momentum going for it over the last 4 or so seasons l can’t remember when - actually looking forward to going to a TFC game once again - well done Smudge for that

I’d love another silly high score just to put the fear into the rest of the league. Realistically 2-1 to Tamworth.

I’m feeling positive, so will go with Tamworth 2-0.

Just the fact that we have fans that are now actually feeling positive is a massive step forward. Coupled with a bit of fight, desire and spirit amongst the players now and things are looking a bit better. A difficult game, but we shouldn't be worried by anyone in this league. 2-1 to us.

I thought Stourbridge away was one of our better performances and it was because they were half decent and attacked us, so we could play.

You are right in that we shouldn’t be scared of anyone in this league but think it’ll be a decent game and wouldn’t be disappointed with 1-1 or 2-2

Rubbish hoof ball first half but best 45 second half under whole of DG regime- total football and an absolute joy to watch - God Verma almost burst into a sweat ! - proved tippy tapp football can deliver in this league!

Although most of the chances we created late on to win it came as a result of Asante chasing balls over the top and causing their defenders a nightmare.

Johnson scored with first ball played to him not over the top and scored - immediately took off for Asante- not sure what match you went to but from memory for me played in on floor but yep we did a few hoof to the corner flag for Asante to waste a bit of time. Scored the goal from football on floor - as to causing them nightmares from balls over the top - did we actually score from them?

It is nice to see a bit of optimism on this forum for a change Smile
I am going for 3-1 to Tamworth.
Good luck to Tamworth ClapClapClapClap

Argus,

I think you know the answer to your question and have asked it because my opinion differs from yours. The game ended 1-1 and Johnson scored from a lay off to him which he clipped over the keeper. Asante then came on and far from time wasting, the balls over the top for him caused a couple of last ditch tackles, some corners, one of which was basically the last play of the game, and a free kick. The idea that we played some sort of pep guardiola tiki taka is nonsense.

Kettering are the best footballing side i’ve seen in this league and they aren’t shy of going direct either - it’s the league we’re in.

How dare you Sir - this implication that l attempt to wind you up is both serious and upsetting and a slur against my character which has taken years to formulate the turning of the spoon subtly and not with a sledge hammer

Where do we go from here. It’s a very long time since I’ve seen the team and supporters as one against the visiting team. What a nail biting finish. Well done.

I was quite happy with the draw, but when we scored at the death I was clearly elated, and the teams below all seemed to lose, apart from St Neots, but they beat Barwell, so all good

Not getting carried away with that result. We didn’t play at all well and were fortunate to get three points.
Referee and Linesman on the Shed side were very poor.
Not sure how Waite got MoM but there weren’t many candidates were there??!!
What started the half time fracas, anyone get a good view?

A closely contested game which we just about deserved to win having created more chances than our opponents.Half time fracas was,i think, the result of our assistant manager continually having a go at their players.May be wrong but thats how it looked to me from the shed.I know i am not wrong when i say that ref was very poor.Still at this rate we will soon have the optimists back talking of a play off place.

Yeah I think so, will be further if we beat Halesowen next week, which we really should now.

Just really pleased l had a better view from the seats RB -

looked pretty good from here and although it could have gone either way in second half thought we edged it throughout in chances created and not as if Stourbridge this Saturday and Coalville last are exactly relegation fodder but what do l know

A real scrap of a game from start to finish that and trying to be objective, a draw was probably going to be a fair result but we finished stronger and the effort and commitment was great. Whether we shaded it I really don’t know. Jas’ great save in the first ten mins was probably crucial and I don’t remember wren making a save in the whole of the first half or the first 20 ish mins of the second.

Got to put it down as a good 3,points and an encouragingly ugly win. As for the fracas at half time, it was pretty funny but also embarrassing. Our assistant (and I love his enthusiasm) has to realise that berating the linesman every decision and getting into verbals during the game with opposition players doesn’t get you more decisions but it does make you look quite a bit of a tit.

Him and smudge on the phone second half was funny mind and I didn’t understand the punishment element of his touchline removal at all - go and have a better view of the game from the opposite side and give the gaffer a bell with your thoughts - not much of a deterrent is it?

And don’t know if southern league central does manager of month but smudge might get it. Fixtures - Hitchin postponed, followed by 3 wins might get him over the line.

Glad Tyrell got the winner again too - he put a shift and a half in again yesterday on what was very largely slim pickings for most of the game.

NLP might want to brush up on their results section too - gave the winner as the 87th min (was later than that) and scored by Ryan Beswick (I don’t think that free kick went in unaided!). The fella who did the match report got it right mind so what happened on the results page I don’t know.

* just noticed we also beat “Stourbirdge”

Jas - don’t know what you’ve got til it’s gone, we missed him.
The back four - faultless.
Beswick - struggling with an injury from about the 15th minute, carried on until the end and delivered the freekick we scored from. That would never have happened under Greene.
Lait & Concannon - although both didn’t have the best of games going forward and Lait didn’t deserve MoM I thought they were very unselfish and helped the fullbacks out tracking their dangerous wingers back.
Waite - 2 in 2
The management team - nothing needs to be said, it’s as good as I’ve felt for a few years, long may it continue.

It was also a compliment to us that they set up in a 4231 as opposed to their usual 442 without Benbow and Mills looked much less effective out wide.
As for the fracas the main culprits were Andy and Mills so either both stay or both go for me. Referee bottled it and took the easy option sending one of their 15 coaches off (why so many?!?!)

Great game of football.
Something we have been missing in recent months!
Thought Green and Gough along with Magunda played well.
Happy for Waite,he certainly grafted and deserves something for the effort he put in
As for Mills....he looks like he has a Greggs that’s just opened round the corner from where he lives!
As for Powell. He performed as he had for us previously. Zero end product

Really been frustrated with Green and Gough this season - all change under Smudge - for me Green MOM against Coalville- great runs forward and caused them problems all afternoon. Yesterday Goughs turn to take centre stage - absolute top draw tackles and nothing got past him!

All the back four were immense especially both full backs. Another great finish to the game like at Coleville and the feel good factor has finally returned to the Lamb. Only negative point was in the first half we continually played the long ball from the back and had nothing up front in the air, midfield players must be making themselves available because it was so predictable that the ball was won by their defenders.
