Hitchin 2 down at half time - good news as they look like losing and using up one of their games in hand over us -

And Biggleswade 3-1 up scoring 2 goals whilst down to 10 at Kettering- makes the game on Saturday even more difficult - Hitchin and Bedworth games coming must wins - draws keeping points difference same minimum Me thinks

How the hell is it possible to be this bad at this level of football? I'm yet again half way through a season just wishing it was over. Where is the entertainment? Where is the spirit, where is the fight? and where is the bloody fun?. Its just hard work supporting us at the moment and has been for a while now, no wonder so many fans have given up. Not sure how much longer I can hold on, just about managing it at the moment.

I make you guys right, those two games Hitchin and Bedworth are crucial, I think Bedworth are doomed and looking at their squad and seeing their two main players being Mark Albrighton (not that one) and Iyseden Christie, both at 42 years young I’m not surprised, they will probably beat us now I’ve said that.

I have to say though I never thought we would be in another relegation battle this season, and probably a bit snobbish thought we would pan most teams in this league, but it’s them panning us, I think at the moment we just need to pray there are three worse teams come the end of the season.

3 worse teams indeed mate - great point - bit more meat on the bone - Last season 47 points would have ensured safety and we currently have 28. So on that basis we require another 19 points or so from our remaining 16 games. Current form over 10+ games is under 1 point a game. It’s extremely kind of the bottom 3 to have similar or worse form than ours currently. However fortunes change and we can’t rely on this continuing. Who we have to play doesn’t really matter because we can get beat by anyone or equally get a result if we bother to actually turn up and deliver. However we have to start somewhere and for me a point nicked at the week-end and those so important games against Bedworth and Halesowen at home and away to Hitchin all coming up where we have to at least draw to maintain our points differential with them as previously said - wins would be great of course with those 9 points seeing us edging towards safety- can you see this in our current form however? - defeats I’m afraid and you wouldn’t bet against relegation! -   any other opinions out here in TFC land?

More chance of us leaving the EU than us staying up.

I did indeed jump out of perfectly serviceable aircraft for a living Argus, and that is why I have 2 dodgy knees, a knackered shoulder and permanent back pain. I didn't say I was good at it :)

Don’t really want to upset you Bof after the problems you’ve had with your convenience however if you don’t really mind - l have an opinion with your comment

My opinion is that my opinion doesn't matter. The only opinion that matters (in my opinion) is that of the man in charge. His opinion seems to be that things are OK as they are for now although the concensus of opinion may well be different. If his opinion changes and falls into line with the opinion of many of us here maybe we can move forwards. It is of course, a matter of opinion as to whether things need to change now or can be left for a while. Hope that is enough opinions for you for now Argus

OK, that's it, line in the sand time. I refuse to believe we can get any lower than this. The revolution starts on Saturday with a magnificent win, and it's all full steam ahead from there. And it's a great feeling to have a guy in the dugout that I can actually support. SMUDGER SMITHS RED AND WHITE ARMY!!!!

How many times have we said “We can’t get any lower than this” only to have it blow up in our face. Doom and Gloom it could happen again. But yes I agree let’s be optimistic about the future and especially on Saturday. Because if we don’t get the 3 points the next home game will be very sparse with supporters. So please please Smudger pull this one out of the bag.

Hitchin 2 up currently

Not really sure where our next win will actually come from - if we get some luck up front and we nick a goal or even two we have a defence which is shot to bits and over 90 minutes is likely to concede more. Will take time for any incoming manager to stop the rot and instill some discipline especially as we’re part time and will have limited training sessions but even then as said previously you can’t polish a turd and maybe wholesale changes have to be made at the back. As it stands the defence we have will take us down unless something changes.

Some very big performances from teams below us today and puts us under even more pressure- if we yet again make a poor choice of new Manager will down - simples

Form table over last 5 games.

5 above us
Banbury 10 points
Barwell 5
Royston 1
Rushall 7
Redditch 7
5 below us
Hitchin 9
Lowestoft 6
St Neots 9
Halesowen 5
Bedworth 4

Our points tally 1 point - no comment required as stats say it all.

And whist attempting to cheer everybody after all Its a knack l obviously have - worst defence in whole league over last 5 concededing 2 goals a game - know some of you old buffers on here have difficulty in counting that makes 10 overall - our defence will relegate us if not sorted very very soon

A defeat on Saturday would have put me in melt down regelation mode - however win in emphatic style will keep that 😊 going all week and certainly till 3 on Saturday. Halesowen in some form at moment and if they did us in our forthcoming home game in a few weeks my rele mode will I’m sure come back. Spooky did anyone else notice the mini- bus on Saturday- NF last season - similar small bus - youngsters put out against us and one of our few wins! - and after that we did nowt but lose. Saturday TFC will be playing against men not boys - massive test and could prove whether we have a team of potential warriors or a butch of no hope losers once again.

Surely it has already been proven what kind of squad we have? Any improvement from now just shows the kind of men they are
