Akwasi Asante has joined Chester on a months loan, bizarre isn’t it non league, couldn’t get into our team, but Chester who are a league higher have taken him on loan, with a view to a permanent move.

Even better news Bof - his hat-trick today means he ain’t coming back - some (few l hope) will say it’s the service he got from us - most of us will say good riddens to a player who showed today he has the gifts l assume but not the desire, fight, and ability between the ears to play football for US - off Asante- an absolute legend in milking TFC money and giving not a jot back

He's done well at various other clubs, they have got the best out of him. Questions need to be asked why Tamworth couldn't

All I’m bothered about mate he’s gone like loads of us on here and at the ground today - to be fair he’s actually turned into a laughing stock amongst fans and that hat- trick helps it 100% that’s he’s gone - Question whether TFC could have got the best out of him - past tense - future tense - We save a bucket load of money going forward to actually put it towards players who care about US and not a JOT like him!

At the end of the day during the friendlies he was very good and his attitude after he signed his contract can only be answered by him. Let’s face it, his mouth will be sealed.

He and Waite looked like a real partnership pre-season. Just think you have to judge players differently to get the best out of them. Disappointed we didn't get the best out of him where other clubs succeeded

I thought when he arrived he signed an 18 month deal so if that is right then the performances in the friendliest are not explained by any contract signing.

The bad news is time flies. The good news is we are the pilots

Had to prove himself before signing.

Let’s set up a petition Bof - “We want Asante Back” - well after yesterday why wouldn’t we

Definitely. After reading Chester's match report and how much they rate him. Let's call him back and get a reimbursement of his wages before we let him go.

Interesting conundrum here - we want rid obviously because he wouldn’t bother to score a Hat-trick for little old us - and if he came back just imagine the fricking moody - yes even worse! - so Chester paying full wages this month - his motivation will be to move to Chester so assume no downturn in performance for next few weeks - do we ask for a transfer fee? - why not milk it after all he’s being milking us in pound notes

If he's still on the books, without question ask for a fee. Would Chester refuse given his score rate for them? My Moto "if you don't ask you don't know" they can say yes or no. What would we lose. Nothing but my Asante fan club.

Given the wages he's on, getting him off the books permanently would equate to a fee

Having seen Asante play a few times on my visits to see The Lambs, i have always thought that he seemed to be a half-hearted player.  he never seemed fully committed.  When he jumped to challenge for the ball he seemed to turn his head away so as not to get hurt.  He didnt seem to be a player who would fight for his team.
Of course more regular supporters will quite possible shoot me down for saying this, but it is just the way I saw it.
I never saw anything from him that made me think he had the makings of a good player, but maybe I am wrong ?

There’s the rub Dan - do we actually push for that bit more in terms of a transfer fee or settle for just off-loading - suppose it will all come down to whether he scores a few more hat-tricks

Schushhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Col - words are cheap and will cost us if anyone from Chester bothers to read us on here- - thought Asante was a legend for us and sure he has single handily transformed our town Center- look at the new barber shops recently set up their -

Bit bored at work, so been doing useful stuff to pass the time. Turns out Akwasi Asante is an anagram of Is Satan Awake. No point to make, just saying

Wasn’t for us - not even a small fire fight from him to be fair - it was more like following rain - sh*t that’s another million off his value

Another goal for Asante yesterday - Mrs Argus watch’s Bargain Hunt - and same rule will apply to Asante in terms of potential value - all we need now is another club to outbid Chester and trust me other clubs will have noticed his 4 goal return from just 2 games - just maybe we may get a return on our huge wage outgoing on the player - funny game football you never know

Sounds like we might get a fee Argus

Devastated. No more Mr. Nice guy. No more Mr. Clean. We were a stop gap for Asante and he wanted our when he could. Luckily for him Chester decided he was worth the gamble.

Looks like we’re about to sign Mike Taylor who tore us a new one at Stratford

Don't worry Shed, we'll have him looking like a Sunday league player in no time

Oh no doubt about it. Interesting tactic though, if in doubt sign whoever has taken points from you

Can’t be right Shed - our squad would number over 400 strong mate

Just maybe playing against a sh*t defence helped him immensely that night and conversely today having a very very poor team playing along side him

So Asante has officially signed for Chester on an 18 month deal, it says that he is their record signing since being reformed, I found a player called Jamie Rainford they signed from Marine for I believe £20k, so if that’s right that’s a decent fee, hopefully it will be reinvested in the squad.

Thank God - a decent fee for a player completely up his own - he gave us absolutely nothing apart from posturing- can’t blame him for our relegation but just imagine we could have got a decent striker in - after all we paid him at the top notch strikers pay and beyond in the league we were in - sorry mate l don’t wish you well - you don’t get loyalty and best wishes when you took the piss out of us week in and out - Chester thank you 🙏

Sorry Skippo lost confidence in DG - we’ve actually seen some of our worst football ever under DG - not being able to put 2 passes together for a full 45 minutes then changing from total hoof to total football - no mix - don’t get it - see previous threads mate - sure the money has already been spent in Taylor’s wages and others - just an idea DG you’ve brought in more enough of your own players by now - just maybe blaming others for no progress could be down to you mate

Room to let. Some call it a toilet. Ideal for our next waste of space forward signing as a fan club meeting room. Hardly used.

We could have one huge room for all of the waste of space strikers that we have had in our recent history, to be called The Justin Richards Suite

Really really hoping your room won’t be Taylor made in terms of that space mate

Just bothered to read his departure piece. Scoring 6 from 30 appearances is really shocking for any striker let alone one who is supposed to be good. Good luck Chester hope you get more for your money than we did.

He has been good elsewhere though ..which makes you wonder how they become so bad here.
He showed decent signs, pre-season, that he and Waite could be a good partnership ...somewhere along the lines that was sucked out of both of them.
