The Lamb Ground is situated near to Tamworth town centre. Please click on the relevant link to find directions whether you are travelling to Tamworth from the North, South, East or West!

From Tamworth Railway Station:

Tamworth is on two main railway lines: London Euston to the north west and Scotland; Penzance to Newcastle, passing through Birmingham New Street.

  • Leave the station and walk along the approach road to the roundabout.
  • Turn left. Cross the road leading under the railway bridge.
  • Leaving Jewson's on your right, walk along Offa Drive.
  • Continue past Aldi to a roundabout.
  • Turn left leaving Lidl on your left.
  • Cross the river bridge with the railway viaduct on your left. (you will be able to see the floodlights ahead of you from here)
  • Follow the footpath to the left into Amington Road.
  • Cross Amington Road keeping the railway viaduct on your left.
  • When you reach the roadside railings cross the road but don't go under the arches.
  • Once across the road head up Kettlebrook Road and the entrance to The Lamb is 50 yards ahead on your right.

By Road from North West:

  • Approach Tamworth via new A5 (bypass) which starts at the A38 / M6 Toll junction to the west of the town.
  • By Road from North East:

    By Road fro South East and South West:

  • Take the turning signposted A51 Tamworth off the A5 bypass.
  • At the bottom of the slip road is T junction where you can only turn left
  • At roundabout, take the third exit (McDonalds is on your left - direction Tamworth Castle)
  • At roundabout, take fourth exit (right) (direction Ankerside multi-storey).
  • You should pass The Ladybridge Beefeater on your left
  • Continue with the Snowdome coming up on your right, to a roundabout
  • Turn right at the roundabout (direction Nottingham, Burton, Nuneaton)
  • At the next roundabout, turn left (direction Amington, Glascote)
  • At the next roundabout, turn right (direction Glascote B5000)
  • At the next roundabout, turn right (direction Kettlebrook)
  • You will now be in the Kettlebrook Road
  • The entrance to The Lamb is the first right turn in Kettlebrook Road, about 50 yards from the roundabout
  • Approach Tamworth along the M42 from Nottingham
  • Leave the M42 at junction 10 (there is a service area here)
  • Turn south (direction Tamworth) on the A5
  • Continue along the A5 to the junction for Bitterscote
  • Leave the A5 at this junction (WARNING - VERY SHARP CURVE ON SLIP ROAD)
  • At roundabout, take the exit with McDonalds on your left (direction Tamworth Castle)
  • At roundabout, turn right (4th exit) (direction Ankerside multi-storey). The Ladybridge Beefeater is on your left
  • Continue with the Snowdome on your right to a roundabout
  • Turn right at the roundabout (direction Nottingham, Burton, Nuneaton)
  • At the next roundabout, turn left (direction Amington, Glascote)
  • At the next roundabout, turn right (direction Glascote B5000)
  • At the next roundabout, turn right (direction Kettlebrook)
  • You will now be in the Kettlebrook Road
  • The entrance to The Lamb is the first right turn in Kettlebrook Road, about 50 yards from the roundabout
  • FROM SOUTH EAST:
  • From the M6 northbound or M40 join the M42 northbound (direction Nottingham)
  • FROM SOUTH WEST:
  • From the M5 northbound join the M42 northbound (direction Nottingham)
  • Leave the M42 at junction 10 (there is a service area here)
  • Turn south (direction Tamworth) on the A5
  • Continue along the A5 to the junction for Bitterscote
  • Leave the A5 at this junction (WARNING - VERY SHARP CURVE ON SLIP ROAD)
  • At roundabout, take the exit just past McDonalds (direction Tamworth Castle) (Sainsbury's is to your left)
  • At roundabout, take fourth exit (direction Ankerside multi-storey). The Ladybridge Beefeater is on your left
  • Continue with the Snowdome on your right to the roundabout
  • Turn right at the roundabout (direction Nottingham, Burton, Nuneaton)
  • At the next roundabout, turn left (direction Amington, Glascote)
  • At the next roundabout, turn right (direction Glascote B5000)
  • At the next roundabout, turn right (direction Kettlebrook)
  • You will now be in the Kettlebrook Road
  • The entrance to The Lamb is the first right turn in Kettlebrook Road, about 50 yards from the roundabout.
