This is exactly my point regarding the stewards. Yes I think they are a waste of time but they are also taking a resource out of the club. A resource that could be spent somewhere else or on people that actually want to do a job.
I could've quite easily sorted this issue out but the useless stewards would have pointed to me when the police came for the aftermath and I would be banned from football. I would still be ok to go watch Tamworth though as very little football is played there anyway. Almost a sentence in itself. |

Why didn't you get a few lads that were in the club house together,and give them a good belting.The stewards at the lamb are a waste of time, they're only there for the free tickets and whatever else goes with the job.

The four lads were from Tamworth. I wouldn't call anybody with their behaviour fans. They just came to get drunk and be abusive.

Not football related. More security related.
Four lads making a scene in the bar, one security covering the bar not really doing much, another guy with him again not doing much. And the woman standing on the door. The steward outside said it's not his duty to go into the bar, he has to look after the stands. Etc... Now I may be mistaken but stewards are there to look after the safety of everyone when they are inside the stadium. The one who said his job is the stands was commentating on the game and is very quick to tell children off if they are having to much fun. And the stewards are taking a wage out of the club so should be working together to eradicate any trouble. These lads, apparently went on to smash the toilet roll holders off the cubicles. This is needless and not the environment Tamworth want to advertise. So sort out your stewards or before you know it Tamworth crowds will be well below the 500 that were there today. |
