So because I share a different opinion, I must be related to Andy Morrell?!
Yes I was at Telford and it was p*** poor Ivor. We lacked pace, and seemed devoid of ideas. Doesn't mean I didn't see equally as bad under those managers mentioned. Remember the protests at the end of the Belford campaign for example? You thought Justin Richards and co were good. Clearly I am not able to have an opinion if it disagrees with you, so i'll take my leave of the forum & won't be back either. Edited by TFCTwoGates - 21 Feb 2017 at 9:24am |

Don't think any of the 3 above played as much hoof ball as AM - Lyttle and Law also managed TFC in a higher league which in my opinion mitagates situation slightly. ![]() |

This forum is fast becoming a joke!, everyone throwing their toys out of the pram if someone disagrees!, that's the whole idea of a forum, to air ones views, if someone disagrees with you, don't just get aggrieved & threaten to stop posting!. If every little flower did that there would be no one left!, or is that what you all want!!. Grow some balls & answer back, not throw a wobbler. I've had many a set to on here, but I've also read some really interesting views & opinions & have changed mine as a result. Come on, lets get the forum rocking!!! TFCTwoGates, you made a good point there, we played some shocking football under some previous managers & I am sure there's a few on here who had forgotten that. |

There is a famous quote from a very successful American football player and coach called Vincent Lombardi that goes like this, " Perfection is unattainable, but if you chase perfection you may achieve excellence." It appears to me that under AM we are chasing mediocrity and achieving it. The problem with that is by setting a low target you will never exceed it, you may however fall short of it which would leave us fighting relegation. On balance I would prefer AM to stay, but please AM, change the mindset and set standards that drive our players to chase perfection, you never know, we may just achieve excellence.

Argus, I didn't say that I expected it to happen, just that I wish we had a manager with the vision to play that way. I would prefer AM to stay and go for it, but if he won"t or can't then we should get someone that will and can.

I'll probably regret this but I've read some bizarre stuff on here the last few weeks and can't resist chipping in. If I accept the criteria suggested by some that a top five finish is the minimum acceptable for AM to keep his job (I think this is ludicrous by the way), then ignoring moneybags clubs like Brackley & Harrogate, ignoring Nuneaton who train full time and ignoring Boston who have far superior gate income to us and concentrating on the seven clubs currently above us: Fylde, Salford, Kiddy, Chorley, Halifax, Stockport & Darlington (all of whom average comfortably over 1000 per home game - Stockport average 3,000), which three of those "should" we be finishing above? I have said all season that a play off position was possible, not probable and would be a phenomenal achievement. I think a lot of people agree with that but simply can't be bothered to post due to the incessant rubbishing of alternative views which are generally quickly followed by "views welcome" A straight answer would be marvellous. I won't expect one and will read into that that on reflection, it probably isn't unrealistic to think all of those sides may realistically be expected to finish higher than us. So, give us your three....

Pricey, I take it from your comments that you think the only thing that constitutes a successful football team is money. My opinion on this happens to be different. You ask which of those teams we should finish above, and the truthful answer is that it would be arrogant to say that we ' should ' finish above any of them. However, I believe that with a more positive approach we ' could ' finish above some of them.
