Thought it was more entertaining than usual. Colwyn Bay were average and in normal circumstances we should have expected a win. However happy enough all things considered. Mettam needs to go on diet, too unfit and spent most of the second half blowing out his arse, and Jackson needs to stop falling over ! Belshaw, Taylor and Vidal had great games today.

Thoroughly enjoyed today. Thought we passed it well and got more crosses in than we have all season.

I thought that today was a massive improvement from the dross that has been served up previously this season, thought the team played as a team for once, and I believe they will only get better, well done to Green and Purdie.
Also thought Belshaw & Taylor were excellent, whilst good to see Mettam get off the mark, will do his confidence a world of good.

Can't understand negativity today. Green and Clarke suspened, Sleath, Townsend, Hibbert out injured, Thornton not fit enough to start. Two of the back four starting their first game of the season, this was never going to be easy but there were more positives than negatives.

Belshaw was excellent. Three good saves in open play plus a good penalty stop although that was an extremely soft penalty. Vidal was superb on his debut. Mettam still doesn't look fit but took his goal really well and Taylor did play well today although I'm surprised everyone is sticking him up ahead of Daniels. I thought he had a really good game and caused them a lot of problems. He won about four or five free kicks when they booted him because they couldn't deal with him. Taylor did play a lot better than normal though. I've been a critic of his and he put in a shift today, never hid and created a bit, however, can I just point out that whoever said he had put on three stone of muscle since he was last here is a comedian. The lad would have died of anorexia if he'd been three stone of muscle lighter than he is now. He had by far his best game for us today and for the first time I've thought there might be something there but he remains lightweight. To say different is to deny the evidence of your own eyes.

Daniels has been  poor for me this season, after doing well v Rotherham. Agree, though, he was much, much better today.

Think Vidal really grew into game and was excellent. Belshaw already looks  a shoe-in for player of the season

Vidal looked a great signing. Slowly, we could be building a decent team for the next boss.

Heard yesterday though that Sleath could be out for the season as he has damaged his cruciate ligament.

That would be bad news because Sleath has looked one of our best summer signings in my opinion but seeing him coming across the pitch on crutches at full time wasn't promising.

Perhaps I'm not seeing some of the things others see but the fact that Belshaw was MOM says it all, Mettam apart from the goal did little and he doesn't look fit, thought Jackson played well and I'd like to see Simmons given a run. Yes we have injuries/suspensions like every other team I think we need some quality in the midfield and upfront.

Crowd was shocking yesterday and as predicted the end of last season unless someone is appointed who has experience the crowds will continue to dwindle. Wake up and smell the coffee to the Board which run the club, show some intention as the next appointment could prove your legacy!

Much the same as the second half at staylebridge plenty of effort   but  again no cutting edge in the final third. A goal scorer needs to be got in as i feel that is required urgently
