Just wanted to wish Tamworth FC and all my friends at the Lamb a successful season :)
Just out of interest how do you expect Tamworth to do this season?
I would love to see them promoted, Everton have never been relegated or promoted while I have been alive.  I have sadly seen Tamworth relegated twice and would love to be there when they get promoted, hopefully this season ?

Col, I'm going to optimistically say play offs but I will come clean and say this time last year, I was obsessed with the one season nightmare that was the super play offs (started a thread on it on here) because I was convinced we had a top 5 side.

We played some nice stuff the weekend and we have a more solid look about us defensively than we did last summer. How that translates to what I think is a stronger league I don't know.

Kettering, Kings Lynn, Bedworth, Halesowen, St Neots gone.

Bromsgrove, Pboro Sports, Hednesford, Kings Langley, Nuneaton have arrived.

Overall, the new 5 look stronger than the old 5 to me but we'll see.

Fingers crossed for a TFC playoff final win and an Everton FA Cup final win (starting by playing your reserves in the 3rd round and winning 7-0 at Villa Park in front of the pink clad brain donors).

That would be a season to celebrate - see you soon mate!

Predicted either 16th or 18th last year 🤔

Well done. Good prediction.

Partially makes up for banging on for what seemed like ever about how we were massively underachieving in the middle or just above of the national League north a couple of seasons back.

We're all hopelessly wrong sometimes aren't we? :-)

Nope not at all -
1 AM was stale and we were playing rubbish one dimensional football and going nowhere - he had how many seasons?
2 The bad calls were simply employing MF and DG
3 Peace restored we got lucky 3rd time round have have diamonds in our locker in terms of Smudge and Andy.

Seems to be some cautious optimism, so here are my three hopes/predictions for the new season:

1  Tamworth to reach the play offs.

2  Everton to win a Derby, i know that is a bit far fetched, but I can dream :)

3  The Darkside to win nothing.  I wish  :)

It is funny how I view every new season with irrational optimism, even after 50+ years, only for my hopes and dreams to be dashed by football's harsh realities, but this will be the season when everything goes to plan....Maybe :)
